Trick or Treat....

Hello my friends....

The Cryptkeeper

Welcome to my little 'House of Mysteries'. It is I, your host for this ghoulish evening, Gluum of the Mines of Malfunction.

Now with this past All Hallow's Eve in the year of our King Ak'Anon, 2001, there were a number of delightful occurrences that took place. (Not any mass executions or plagues, but we all can't have everything now can we...)

It seems that the dead, monsters, cults, ghost ships, and many other delightful things were abroad during the week following the All Hallow's Eve. Let me tell you a few tales of horror from my library...

Throughout the Commons, shouts were to be heard from 'Warriors' and 'Wizards' *pfaugh* regarding werewolves and other such beasties running amok and slaughtering all they could find. Now if I were a werewolf, (delightful folk, let me tell you), then if I only had one night to let my hair down, I do believe I would be 'doggedly' excited...

In the Rathe Mountains, more of the dead began walking the earth, with dragons, horses, and other such ghostly figures traipsing the night fantastic.

In the Karanas, a number of the *yech* Catagnomic Horde were seen to be fighting the hordes of unjustly persecuted undead that were wandering and talking amongst themselves. Now, now people. Show some decorum when battling the undead. That ghoul may have been somebody's 'mummy'?

The Blood Boat

This ship, the 'Deep Tomb' apparently pulled up and dropped anchor near the Ocean of Tears, with the captain apparently whining about 'Save my crew','Please help', blah, blah, blah. What a disappointment. That would have been one 'three-hour tour' I wish a number of people I knew were on! Ships ahoy, mateys! Next stop: Davey Jones' Locker!

Adventurers: Its what's for dinner....

Now this was a delightful encounter. All the people surrounding the Lake of Ill Omen, and someone asks if they had any fish? Well, if this is the one they caught, I wouldn't have liked to have seen the one that got away....

Snakes....why'd it have to be snakes....

Here's one that's very near and dear to my heart. When you're a necromancer, you have a lot of time to work on other side projects. Myself, I took up gardening: Belladonna, Mandrake Root, Wolfsbane; just as a hobby. The Cult of Tishe Virm took all new turns in the horticultural 'field'. They planted fungus on corpses and planted them in the desert, and wouldn't you know! They bloomed! (and walked around, and moaned, etc.) This high priest was gathering the fungi to bring back his pet that he had lost. Some sort of 'Feast' or something. Ah well, make my pizza to go. EXTRA mushrooms.

Well, that's all for now...more chapters to come in my book, but they will have to wait until next year! Have a delightful evening, and please remember: It's 'Be kind to Undead' week.
