Giants in Oasis of Marr Nowhere to Be Found!

The Horde Gathers...

A few of the Horde pause at the fishing village in Oasis to search for signs of the dreaded Sand Giants

OASIS OF MARR, ANTONICA- With the decree of the Revered King Ak'Anon, the Horde set out for the parched desert oasis in the center of Ro. However, not a giant was to be seen, and even with the help of the Aurora Knights, not a giant was to be found. The Horde then extended the search to both Northern and Southern Ro, but to no avail. With Guildmistress Kolena of the Aurora Knights showing the way, they descended upon a black tower within the Oasis and began cleansing it of the undead blight that was tainting the waters. One wonders, had word of the plans leaked out to the Giants beforehand? Strange that they were to disappear so quickly....

Bantin 'Treechopper' Helps to Save Aviak Town From Mad Treant!

Weeds shouldn't be let to grow out of hand...

The Treant Grizzlefig held all of the Aviak Town at his mercy...

I HATE Vegetables...

...but was put down quickly

THE AVIAK TOWN OF SK'RAWW, SOUTH KARANA, ANTONICA- A selection of the Horde headed out to the Karanas to see what could be done about the Bertoxxulus Curse, when they heard cries of panic and fear coming from the town of Aviaks. Circling under the lofty city was a maddened treant who was attacking all who came near it. A few Horde members tried to reason with it, but to no avail. Drawing his sword, Bantin strode into combat, taking many wounds, but staying up through the healing prayers of a number of druids and clerics who had gathered to help. After many heated blows and the crackling of spells, Grizzlefig fell. The Aviak Chieftain was ecstatic, and negotiations between the Aviak tribe and the Gnomish People will begin proceedings in the near future for a solid alliance.

Officers Return From Long Journies

The Horde celebrated long and hard into the night with the return of a number of its members: Frozboth Stormweaver, Mandrix Stormweaver, Festeringsoul Rottingccorpse, and Benzworth Coglestop. Benzworth had this to say about his long absence:

__________________________________________________________
As some of you already know, I have returned from my absense.

I see that Mr. Roclinsight has been keeping you updated on my status. Unfortunatly he got a few facts wrong, and left others out.

The 'explosion' did occur, after which I remember hitting some solid object really hard and then loosing consiousness, what Roclinsight failed to mention is that THEY had supplied me with a poorly refurbished firewater heater to keep 'budget costs down' as he put it. I woke up some time later completly covered with snow, with the exception of my nose. I was in great pain at the time from all the cuts, bruises, broken bones, burns and frostbite but managed to dig myself out and crawl to a small cave in the nearby cliff. I passed out shortly after that.

When I awoke, I found myself in a different cave with my body crudely bandaged. There was some tizmak meat sitting on a rock nearby as well as a fire going near the cave entrance, I could sense someone watching me, but could not see anyone. Hungry, and without my spellbook, I ate the horrid tasting meal and fell back asleep. Every day for weeks(near as I could tell since I didn't have my pocketwatch) I would awaken with cooked food(usualy that retched tizmak steak) waiting for me.

Roughly 2 weeks ago by my guess, I saw a shadow move in the cave. By this time my legs had healed enough for me to walk, so I followed. Eventualy as I neared the inermost part of the cave a voice spoke in a broken form of common telling me to turn around and go back. Not knowing the nature of this creature and in no condition to fight, I obeyed. Things continued as normal for the next week.

About a week ago, I ventured out of the cave to try and figure out where exactly I was, the next thing I knew a tizmack charged at me, knocking me unconsious.

I awoke in yet another cave, figuring that I was being held prisoner by the Tizmaks. This, however, was NOT the case. As I looked around, I saw a towering, powerfull looking creature sitting nearby. As he saw me awaken, he spoke in the same voice I had heard from the cave, only this time he had more friendly words to tell. He spoke of how he found me, how he rescued me from the tizmak who attacked, of the land where he was from, of how he ended up lost in velious. He then asked if I knew how to get him home, unfortunatly his descriptions of his homeland don't match anything I've ever seen, nor anything any of our great geographers and explorers have ever recorded.

Yesterday I asked him to show me the way to Thurgadin, he refused saying he would NOT get that close to the town, however he would show me to an 'ancient relic' that may guide me home. The relic turned out to be the stone obsilisk near the tizmak infested caves, from which I could gain my bearings. After saying our farewells I headed towards Thurg. I arrived near midnight. The Loremasters took me in and accellerated the healing that was already taking place.

Unfortunatly the being asked me not to describe the details of his looks or his homeland to ANYONE for fear that the ones who banished him may come to hunt him down. Considering that he saved my life, twice, I am honoring his wishes.

BTW to the Gnomish Geographic Society, I will no longer work under contract with you until you increase your equipment budget.
